ALSAMAWI Strengthens Lead with a 3–1 Victory Over YAAZAR in a High-Level Group A Clash

ALSAMAWI continued its impressive run in the NAS Sports Volleyball Tournament 2026 with a convincing 3–1 win over YAAZAR on March 2, 2026, as part of Group A action. Set scores were 25–21, 25–21, 21–25, and 25–22, reflecting a competitive match in which ALSAMAWI showed superior control in key phases. 

ALSAMAWI delivered a strong offensive performance, registering 60 attack points, significantly outpacing YAAZAR’s 49. The team also demonstrated efficiency from the service line, scoring 5 aces, while YAAZAR recorded 4. Both sides matched evenly at the net with 6 blocks each, leaving the attacking edge as the deciding factor. 

The standout performer was Nicolas Marcelo Mendez, who led ALSAMAWI with 23 points, supported by Cedric Bitouna who contributed effectively both offensively and defensively. On the YAAZAR side, Redi Bakiri emerged as the team’s top scorer with 19 points, supported by notable efforts from Tharusha Chamath and Hamza Hamdy Elsafy

With this victory, ALSAMAWI climbs to 6 points and remains undefeated with a perfect 100% record, while YAAZAR stays at 2 points following its first loss—adding pressure as the team heads into the upcoming matches seeking to remain competitive in the group standings.
