Hamed Al-Rousi, who announced his retirement from refereeing after a distinguished career spanning 36 years, is considered one of the most prominent volleyball referees on the international level.
Hamed Al-Rousi began his refereeing career in 1988 and obtained his international badge in 1995. Throughout his career, Al-Rousi officiated numerous local and international finals, including seven World Championships, eight Grand Prix finals, and three Nations League finals. He was also the only Arab referee to officiate volleyball competitions at the "Tokyo 2020" and "Paris 2024" Olympic Games.
